Sowt, Arabic for ‘voice’, is a social networking platform that promotes discussion and dialogue through short audio posts. It is a tool for having conversations with people across the world without the misinterpretations of tone and punctuation.
Founded, designed, and developed in Jordan, Sowt comes with identical Arabic and English interfaces. More languages will be introduced in the near future.
Sowt is very simple and easy to use. All you need to do is to create an account, follow people who interest you most, and strike up a conversation! You can record up to 42 seconds of audio and broadcast it directly to your network. Your posts can also contain a text description, a picture, and a location, so other users browsing Sowt can find you. Browse and like posts, echo them to your followers, and comment with your input on a topic. Check out our introductory video here.
In addition to the web version, Sowt is available for iOS (iPhone and iPod Touch) and Android. You can find constant updates on Sowt on our blog, https://blog.sowt.com . You can also contact us at any time at firstname.lastname@example.org .
